Last weekend we decided to celebrate our near 4 year anniversary by giving a whirl at a place we went a few years ago, this was way before i knew anything about swimming, or how to breathe properly for that matter (i'm still struggling with the latter).
This week we went exploring 2 more places in la Huasteca Potosina, the first one by Edward James, a British poet and all around cool dude that liked surreal art, erecting in the middle of the jungle a weird yet beautiful construction with a fascination for snakes and snake like morning cereal.
Only when you jump your brain realizes it was a mistake and your heart races laughing as you hit the water at what seems high speeds...
Exploring the city is actually quite fun, the return is what might kill you if you do not pace yourself since it's mostly walking uphill
After that traumatic experience we arrived 2 days late to the most wonderful, clean and amazing city in Mexico, that's right folks I'm talking about Orizaba!!!
These ruins are really beautiful, some of the highest we've seen so far, the first ones I've seen at high noon with beach weather, so you better bring a cap and some drinking water.
Once we arrived at the spot and you take that "giant step" is when it hits you, you're about to go underwater, excitement, fear, joy, adrenaline and every feeling you can have at a moment like this
There's a regulatory safe distance that you must keep at all times to avoid an awkward situation (making eye contact with a sea turtle while it's giving birth rates pretty high in the scale)
Sitting in clear water in the middle of the desert looking at the surrounding mountains under a deep blue sky is a delightful experience.
I must admit i was a little nervous, after being friend with someone for so long, and then all the feelings in your heart say you need to kiss him one more time, and another and always for the rest of your life...
