Hi there! we are Manuel & Xochitl
We are a couple of graphic designers in our 30-ish. We work from home and we love to travel and enjoy living in different places around the world. We were born in Saltillo Coahuila, a small town of Mexico 🇲🇽
We are quiet, respectful and responsible.
We’ll be more than happy to take care and give love to your pets, plants and property without a doubt.
We have some basic handyman knowledge, but we are open to learn whatever task you require.
Because we work remotely, having a stable internet connection is vital for us, other than that we can adjust to pretty much everything.
We speak fluent Spanish/English and some basic Portuguese plus we are trying to learn French! We don’t smoke and only drink occasionally. We love to spend our days taking photographs and walking around to discover some amazing places.

Xochitl and Manuel were petsitters for us in our Alamos, Sonora home for a nine-week stay. They were mainly in charge of walking our three dogs twice daily and in tending to our two cats. They established an obviously caring relationship with each of the animals, giving them plenty of exercise and even working with a local vet (with our approval) to tend to some health issues that arose. They kept us well informed of pets and property by email and photos and took care of everything as needed. They are responsible, well-organized, delightful individuals who provided excellent service. Pets, home, and property were all in good order upon our return. We recommend them highly.

We met Xochitl and Manuel almost two years ago in Xcalak, Quintana Roo, when they were housesitting and petsitting for our neighbors. We also trusted them with our house and three cats and rambunctious puppy when we were away. They kept us informed while we were traveling. They both are dependable, intelligent, honest, independent, courteous people. We are sad that they are leaving our area and will miss seeing them. Our recommendation for them is “5-star.”

I am an adventure travel guide and asked Xochitl & Manuel to stay at my home in La Paz, BCS for five weeks, while I took a small group to Africa. Much of that time, I was in the middle of nowhere, and only had intermittent contact with them. I was so pleased to have updates and photos of Daisy, my dog, and Tinkerbelle, my cat waiting for me in my Facebook private messages whenever I had internet. Xochitl and Manuel seemed to know without prompting that I really wanted that reassurance that everything was okay in my absence.

A great thing is that when I finally did return home, both my home and my animals were in better shape than when I left! The house was clean (they even cleaned the refrigerator!!), and both the animals were happy and healthy – it was clear that they had loving attention while I was gone, instead of just cursory care. A local dog trainer had been working with my dog, who is a rescue, and teaching her how to walk on a leash, etc. before I left. I arranged for Manuel & Xochitl to work with him one day in my absence. They not only did so, but kept my dog working on her lessons while I was gone so that when I returned, we could just continue instead of starting completely over.
All of these little details, and more, are things that the two of them just seem to do, intrinsically. They both have good hearts and are very special people. I hope one day to have the honor of working with them again.
Xóchitl and Manuel were the perfect house and pet sitters for us this summer. We have 2 needy cats and 2 guinea pigs! As well as a backyard full of thirsty plants. They were punctual and polite, not to mention very pet friendly. They always kept us in the loop via email or texts with animal and house care. They even helped us set up our internet optic fibre cable! We would certainly recommend them for sitters both house and the furry kind. Our cats are still pining for them

Xochitl and Manuel house and pet sat for us in La Paz, Baja for a week and took care of our 3 dogs and 3 cats. They had come for a visit about a month before their sit to meet us and the dogs. We were immediately impressed with how quickly they interacted with the dogs, who usually take a bit to warm up to strangers but they promptly jumped onto the couch and wouldn’t leave Xochitl and Manuel alone so we took that as a good sign. The 2nd day we were gone they had to deal with a power outage that lasted about 13 hours due to a storm. They contacted us to let us know what was going on, filed a report online with the electric company and prepared to get the generator out after we discussed the options. For the next 6-7 hours we stayed in communication and ultimately decided to start the generator. My husband walked Manuel through that process over the phone. He understood enough about the generator that with very little help Manuel and Xochitl got the generator running and power back on in the house and the cistern pump running so there was water in the house. They walked the dogs every day and often sent pictures of all the animals, including one of our cats who usually doesn’t come out of hiding when we’re away. That made us feel really good and we loved seeing the pictures of our happy pups and cats.
Xochitl and Manuel were clean and neat and the house and yard were in very good shape when we returned. They took care of the house and patio plants and left everything in good clean condition. We would have them back again in a minute and wish they were staying in La Paz longer so we could use them again. We are pleased to give them our highest recommendation.
